Merger Announcement

Effective July 1, 2023, Highview Fire & EMS will be merging into Fern Creek Fire & EMS in efforts to provide effective and efficient Fire Protection and Emergency Medical Services to our communities. Our community is and will remain our number one priority.  

As a merged entity we will provide a total of 9 stations spread over an 86 square mile territory with approximately 215 career and volunteer members. The new station identifiers are below along with their community locations and any specialty units assigned. 

Station 61- 6200 Bardstown Rd. (Fern Creek/ Headquarters) 

Station 62- 9409 Old Bardstown Rd. (Fern Creek/Technical Rescue Unit) 

Station 63- 7100 Routt Rd. (Fern Creek) 

Station 64- 7200 Billtown Rd. (Fern Creek) 

Station 65- 4101 Bardstown Rd. (Buechel/Fire Prevention Bureau) 

Station 66- 4649 Poplar Level Rd. (Camp Taylor/Haz Mat) 

Station 71- 7308 Fegenbush Ln. (Highview/ Training Divisions Fire/EMS) 

Station 72 – 8001 Smyrna Rd. (Highview/ Fleet & Facilities) 

Station 73- 10200 Cedar Creek Rd. (Highview)
