from the Consumer Product Safety Commission

On August 11, CPSC issued a recall on the Wii Battery Charger Stations due to fire and burn hazards. Please visit CPSC's site here to check model numbers and name to determine if you have one of these items.

On July 30, CPSC issued a recall on some models of Frigidaire washers. A fire hazard has been associated with this product. The washer was sold under several model names, including Frigidaire, Kenmore, Kelvinator and others. On July 21, CPSC issued a voluntary recall of the Blue Ember gas grills manufactured by Unisplendor. Fires and burn injuries have been associated with this product. Please discontinue use of this product immediately. You can visit here for more information.

Crusade

The 56th Annual

WHAS Crusade for Children was held on

Saturday & Sunday June 6 & 7

Fern Creek Fire Department reached new heights this year by collecting

$231,580.

This was a 90% increase from 2008 and over $100,000 higher than our previous best.

Because we raised more than $157,000 this year, Fern Creek Fire Department has now collected more than

2 million dollars

over the last 50 years for the Crusade for Children.

Thanks to ALL those who selflessly volunteered their time and efforts during the week at the roadblocks and over the weekend going door-to-door. Your help was greatly appreciated.

Thanks to ALL those in the community who donated money, time, food, etc. to help make this the best Crusade ever for FCFD.
